Spring 2018 Sermon Sketchnotes
April opened with a call to live as if every day of your life was Easter. After that the Fellowship Bible Church teaching team dove into the meaning of family and what God intends it to be. The beginning of May brought with it a short series on our identity in Christ and what it means to be a child of God.
An Easter People
April 1, 2018
Easter is a special season for Christians. What would it look like if we let it define our lives not just a few weeks in the spring but the entire year? Fellowship Bible Church encourages the church to live as if this was the case and remember that the only thing which can keep us apart from God’s grace is us.
Through the month of April the teaching team at Fellowship Bible Church tackled what it means to be part of the family of God. Pastors Aaron DeLoach, Joe McGinnis, and Aaron Tredway start by looking at what God intends for families and finish with how we impress our faith on future generations.
The Family God Intended
April 8, 2018
God doesn’t want us to have acceptable families but better ones. No matter what circumstances you find yourself in and what relationships you have with your family we should be fighting for the betterment of one another instead of fighting internally.
The Broken Family
April 15, 2018
We all know someone who we think has the perfect family. Chances are that is just an illusion and instead we are simply comparing to an ideal that can never be achieved. Only by the grace of God can Christians truly overcome brokenness. Joe McGinnis calls us to do so in this week’s message.

Regardless of how you relate to your flesh and blood family we are all part of another. Joe McGinnis digs into the essence of the story of Pentecost to see what takeaways there are for Christians today. What can we learn from the early church to become a better church?

One of the most important roles of the family is to teach children to walk with God and build trust in Him. Unfortunately 90% of children who attend churches may not continue once they leave home. What can parents and leaders do to foster an deep faith that encourages the next generation to seek God once they are out in the world?
Because of Jesus’ gift of redemption Christians have been transformed into children of God. What does it actually mean that we are adopted by God? In this series the pastors at Fellowship Bible Church explore what the book of Ephesians teaches us about our transformation into a new person.

Thanks to Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross we are redeemed. What does it mean that as Christians we get a new identity? This week’s sermon explores what it means to have a new Father and the impact on our lives.
You are Chosen!

Why did God choose us in the first place? What makes us special enough to deserve grace? Aaron Tredway takes on the idea that we can achieve grace and counters with the fact that we received it instead.
